Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. Set in America in 1899, the game follows Arthur Morgan, a senior member of the Van der Linde gang, as the gang attempts to survive while the American frontier rapidly changes around them.
After a robbery in Blackwater goes wrong, the Van der Linde gang is forced to flee across the frontier. As law enforcement and bounty hunters close in, the gang moves between temporary camps and settlements while searching for opportunities to survive. Arthur becomes increasingly caught between his loyalty to the gang and his own understanding of what their future should look like.
The game takes place across an enormous open world containing mountains, forests, rivers, swamps, deserts, grasslands, farms, towns, cities and remote wilderness.
