Super Mario Odyssey is a globe-trotting 3D platforming adventure that takes Mario far beyond the Mushroom Kingdom. Joined by his new companion Cappy, Mario travels across a variety of imaginative kingdoms aboard the Odyssey airship while searching for Power Moons.
Cappy gives Mario a completely new set of abilities, allowing him to throw his cap, use it as a temporary platform, and capture objects, creatures, and enemies to gain new abilities. These mechanics expand Mario's traditional movement and create new ways to explore each environment.
Each kingdom offers its own landscapes, challenges, characters, secrets, collectibles, and activities. Players can explore freely, discover hidden Power Moons, interact with the environment, and uncover optional challenges throughout the adventure.
Super Mario Odyssey also supports local two-player play on one Nintendo Switch system, with one player controlling Mario and the other controlling Cappy.
